International Arrivals
All passengers arriving on international flights must complete U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) entry procedures at the International Terminal Arrivals Hall. Please visit www.cbp.gov for information about clearing CBP.
Passengers ending their journey at SFO should exit the Arrivals Hall through the doors marked "San Francisco" for the International Arrivals Meeting Area and ground transportation options.
Transferring to a Domestic or Onward International Flight
All passengers arriving on international flights and connecting to onward flights are
required to complete U.S. Customs and Border Protection entry procedures at the International
Terminal Arrivals Hall. Please visit
www.cbp.gov for
information about clearing CBP.
Onward passengers should exit the Arrivals Hall through the doors marked "Connecting Flights." A Connecting Baggage Desk, located directly outside of the exit, is available to recheck baggage tagged to its final destination. Passengers not checked through to their final destination should visit their airline’s ticket counter.

Please note that there is no secure transit area for passengers transferring from an
international to a domestic flight. Passengers exiting the Arrivals Hall are in the airport’s
public area and are required to go through the security checkpoint at the boarding area for their
next flight. Please visit the

Passengers may transfer terminals by walking or riding AirTrain , SFO’s automated people mover system.
International Departures
International flights depart from SFO’s International Terminal. Check-in desks are located on the Departures Level of the Main Hall.
Transferring from Terminal 1 to the International Terminal
Terminal 1 passengers transferring to flights in the International Terminal must exit the
terminal and proceed to the International Terminal. Passengers checked in for onward flights
may proceed to the security checkpoint at the designated boarding area. Please visit the

Passengers not checked in for their onward flight should visit their airline’s ticket counter in the International Terminal Main Hall. Passengers may walk or take AirTrain, SFO’s automated people mover system, from Terminal 1 to the International Terminal.
Transferring from Terminal 3 to the International Terminal
Passengers on flights arriving at Terminal 3 may transfer to International Terminal Boarding
Area G via a connector walkway linking the two terminals. The entrance to the connector is
located post-security in Terminal 3 near Gate 75, and the exit is located post-security in
International Terminal Boarding Area G near Gate G92.

Passengers not checked in for their onward flight should visit their airline’s ticket counter in the International Terminal Main Hall.
