SFO High School Interns Program

The Airport Commission's newest internship for high school students!

The Airport Commission is pleased to announce the SFO High School Interns Program, a paid internship for high school students or recent high school graduates.  Through this program, interns are placed in an Airport Commission office performing clerical or support tasks.  The main goal of the program is to provide youth the opportunity to gain essential work skills while also learning about the wide variety of careers available in city government and at the Airport.

The diverse career fields represented at SFO make the SFO YouthWorks internship an excellent introduction to the work place.  In addition to providing training, parking or transit options, interns benefit from the mentorship of diverse Airport Commission staff.  Participating Airport Commission offices have included, for example:

  • Airfield Operations
  • Community Affairs
  • Information Technology and Telecommunications
